Once decision is made to close and remove a facility from service, a number of documents will be required as part of decommissioning. The licensee must comply with the appropriate regulatory authority’s (NRC, State, DOE, EPA) requirements until decommissioning is completed and the license or authorization terminated. The license or authority will be amended as appropriate for its change in status. Decommissioning document preparation will begin in the Transition Planning stage and will continue throughout the entire decommissioning process. ENERCON has supported the preparation of documents required for submittal to the appropriate regulatory agencies. We have extensive experience in the development of underlying bases analysis and document revision required for decommissioning. Document preparation may include, but not be limited to:

  • Irradiated Fuel Management Plan
  • Site Specific Decommissioning Cost Estimate
  • Amended Technical Specifications
  • Updated Safety Analysis/Safety Basis Report
  • License Termination/Decommissioning Plans
  • Safety Assessments
  • Characterization Plans
  • Environmental Reports and Assessments
  • Surveillance & Maintenance Plans
  • Health & Safety Documents
  • Waste Management plan
  • Project Work Plans
  • Amended Security & Emergency Plans
