Florida Power & Light Site Selection

ENERCON completed a comprehensive study to select a preferred site for a potential new nuclear power plant in South Florida. ENERCON evaluated critical criteria factors including population density near proposed sites, availability of cooling water, access to transmission and rail corridors, seismic and geotechnical conditions, land use in the vicinity of the potential sites, and key business considerations. ENERCON used a rigorous process to select sites that would meet key requirements and to identify a preferred site following two rounds of site screening.
