After Hurricane Michael tore through Georgia as a Category 4 Hurricane with 155 mph, ENERCON’s Power Delivery team was mobilized to provide Damage Assessment assistance to our local utility partners.
The initial request came on October 11, 2018 and resulted in the mobilization of 44 team members in 22 vehicles throughout Georgia. The ENERCON response team mobilized within hours of being called upon and deployed in several smaller groups to a variety of locations throughout South Georgia. The teams provided field services related to identifying damage to the distribution system and assisted with coordination with line crews, tree trimming crews, and representatives from the Georgia client during the restoration process.
ENERCON crews focused our performance around the company’s Defining Excellence value points of VALUED SERVICE, WORK SAFETY, and CLIENT FOCUS. This was our first response effort for this Georgia client, and we received consistent feedback that we were best in brand for providing this service throughout the 6 service areas that we supported. Not only did ENERCON teams receive positive feedback, our crews located in Bainbridge were the last Damage Assessment Teams to be released from the Georgia client.
