It’s been a year of achievements for our Kennesaw NAYGN Chapter. Our members have gone above and beyond to stay involved in their communities while promoting and supporting the nuclear industry on a national stage.
Our ENERCON engineers are some of the most talented and passionate in the industry. Their passion has led the Kennesaw Chapter to be named the 2021 Best Chapter in the Southeast, along with a number of other accolades, listed below.
This award recognizes the efforts of NAYGN chapters for services related to the growth of members through social, community service, and professional growth activities. We are extremely proud of this award, as it salutes our chapter’s overall excellence in supporting NAYGN’s mission and members while serving the industry.

Excellence Awards (2020)
ENERCON-Kennesaw won two National NAYGN Excellence awards in 2020.
Michael Smyth (Mechanical Engineering Supervisor, Nuclear Services Group) won a 2nd Quarter award for his work in coordinating the ENERCON COVID-19 fundraiser for Feeding America. The fundraiser far exceeded chapter goals for the event and was a great opportunity for ENERCON to give back to its communities.
ENERCON’s Will Moody (Mechanical Engineer, Nuclear Services Group) won a 3rd Quarter award for organizing a socially distanced 5k on social media. This activity garnered attention and participation from several chapters across the continent and was a great activity during a time when we all needed some physical exercise and socially distanced team building.
These are the 3rd and 4th Excellence Awards that the Kennesaw Chapter has won since 2013 and are a testament to the great work that the chapter and its members are doing.
