New Partnership with SRNS

Enercon Federal Services was awarded a $3.2 million project with Savannah River Nuclear Solutions (SRNS) for general engineering and design services in the site preparation phase of a new Tritium Finishing Facility (TFF) to be built at the Savannah River Site (SRS) in Aiken, South Carolina.

The projected scope of the site preparation includes demolition and remediation of multiple existing support structures, utility relocation, and design of a new 7,600 square foot warehouse building.

“We are proud of our part in this milestone project and excited to support a project that will allow SRS to continue their tritium missions well into the future,” said Laura Dollar, Director, Enercon Federal Services.

To ensure continued support of the Savannah River Site’s ongoing missions, SRNS received permission to build a new TFF. The existing facility was constructed in the 1950s.  This vintage facility must now be replaced as it faces increasing maintenance costs and aging infrastructure. The new TFF will house functions associated with the receipt, surveillance, and packaging of tritium reservoirs at SRS.
